Terms and Conditions
At Sage & Star Cleaning Co., each appointment is reserved exclusively for your home/facility. To maintain exceptional service standards and scheduling integrity, the following policies apply:
Booking & Payment Authorization
A valid credit or debit card is required to secure all appointments.
By providing a payment method, client authorizes Sage & Star Cleaning Co., LLC to securely store the card on file and to charge the card for:
· Scheduled service fees
· Approved add-on services
· Late cancellation fees
· Returned payment fees
· Applicable sales tax
For one-time services, payment will be processed on the day of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
For recurring services, client authorizes automatic charges on the scheduled service date.
Client agrees to maintain a valid payment method on file at all times. Failure to do so may result in suspension of services.
In the event that a payment method is declined, Sage & Star Cleaning Co. reserves the right to pause future services until payment is successfully processed.
Returned or failed payments will incur a $35 administrative fee.
Chargebacks or payment disputes must be communicated directly to Sage & Star Cleaning Co. prior to initiating a dispute with the card issuer. Client agrees to reimburse Sage & Star Cleaning Co. for the full service amount and any applicable dispute or processing fees.
Deposits
To reserve your cleaning appointment, a deposit is required.
Standard Cleaning (first-time clients): 30% deposit required at time of booking
Deep Cleaning/Move-in/Move-out/One Time Cleaning: 50% deposit required at time of booking.
Short-Term Rentals: 50% deposit required at time of booking.
Commercial Facilities: 50% deposit required at time of booking.
Commercial services are invoiced upon completion and automatically processed within 24 hours unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Recurring Clients (residential and commercial): No deposit required after initial service. Valid form of payment on file required.
A minimum service charge of $180 applies to all appointments, regardless of square footage or service duration.
Appointments are not confirmed until the deposit is received.
Deposits are applied toward your total service cost. Deposits are non-refundable but may be applied to a rescheduled appointment if notice requirements are met.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
We understand that life happens. However, because time is reserved exclusively for your service, we require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for any cancellation or schedule change.
· Cancellations made 48 hours or more before your appointment will receive full credit of your deposit toward a future service and will be rescheduled once without penalty.
· Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
· Same day cancellations, lockouts, or failure to provide access to the home/facility will result in the deposit being retained and may require a new deposit to re-schedule services.
Cancellation fees are charged to the payment method on file.
This policy ensures fairness and protects reserved service time.
Access to Property
Clients must provide safe and timely access to the property at the scheduled appointment time. If access is not available within 15 minutes of arrival, the appointment will be treated as a same day cancellation, and the full service fee may apply.
Payment Terms & Late Payment Policy
Remaining balances are automatically charged to the payment method on file upon completion of service.
If payment cannot be processed:
· The client will be notified immediately.
· Payment must be resolved within 24 hours.
· A 5% late fee may be applied to balances unpaid after 24 hours.
· Future bookings may require prepayment in full.
We reserve the right to decline future services for unresolved balance.
Returned payments (including insufficient funds or declined transactions) will incur a $35 administrative fee.
In the event of a chargeback or payment dispute, client agrees to reimburse the full service amount plus any applicable processing or dispute fees incurred by Sage & Star Cleaning Co.
Recurring Services
v Recurring services are available on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis and are intended to maintain a home that has already received an initial deep clean or is otherwise in maintained condition.
v Maintenance service pricing is offered at a reduced rate based on the expectation that the home will remain in reasonably maintained condition between scheduled visits. If a home has not been professionally cleaned recently, Sage & Star Cleaning Co. may require an initial Deep Clean prior to beginning recurring maintenance services.
v Clients agree to maintain the agreed upon service frequency. If more than six (6) weeks pass between scheduled cleanings, the home may require a Deep Clean at the current One-Time service rate before recurring services can resume.
v If a scheduled recurring service is skipped or cancelled by the client and results in excessive buildup or significantly increased cleaning time, Sage & Star Cleaning Co. reserves the right to adjust the service price accordingly or require a Deep Clean before continuing recurring service.
v Recurring clients will receive priority scheduling and consistent service days when possible. However, Sage & Star Cleaning Co. cannot guarantee exact arrival times due to the nature of service work and travel between homes.
v Sage & Star Cleaning Co. reserves the right to modify recurring service pricing if the condition of the home changes significantly, additional occupants or pets are added, or the scope of service increases beyond the originally agreed terms.
Scope of Work
Sage & Star Cleaning Co. provides services as outlined in the approved estimate or service checklist selected at the time of booking. Only tasks specifically listed under the selected service package (Standard Clean, Detailed Clean, Move-in/Move-out, Short Term Rental Turnover, or Commercial Service) are included.
Any services not expressly listed in the agreed-upon package are considered add-ons and may require additional time and fees. Pricing adjustments will be discussed and approved before additional work is performed.
If the condition of the home or space differs from the description provided at booking (including excessive buildup, heavy soil, clutter, or neglected areas), Sage & Star Cleaning Co. reserves the right to:
· Reclassify the service as a Deep Clean
· Adjust pricing accordingly
· Reschedule the appointment
First time services may be booked as a Deep Clean to establish our service standard before transitioning to recurring service – Dependent on condition.
We do not provide specialty cleaning services unless explicitly agreed upon in writing. This includes but is not limited to: biohazard cleanup, mold remediation, pest removal, excessive trash removal, or post-construction debris beyond standard service levels.
Clients are responsible for ensuring surfaces are reasonably accessible. Excessive clutter may prevent full service of certain areas and does not reduce the cost of the scheduled service. We do not move large furniture or appliances unless agreed upon in advance.
Condition of Property and Safety
Clients are responsible for accurately describing the condition of the property at the time of booking.
If the property is found to be unsafe or significantly different from what was disclosed upon booking, we reserve the right to decline, modify, or reschedule service. A cancellation fee may apply if service is declined due to unsafe or undisclosed conditions.
Utilities and Property Conditions
Clients must provide safe and functional access to essential utilities during the scheduled service, including:
· Running water
· Electricity
· Adequate lighting
· Climate control appropriate to seasonal conditions
If utilities are not operational at the time of service, Sage & Star Cleaning Co. reserves the right to reschedule the appointment. A cancellation or rescheduling fee may apply.
Service may also be paused or discontinued if conditions within the property pose a safety risk, including extreme temperatures or unsafe working environments.
Pets & Animals
For the safety of both pets and our team, clients are responsible for securing all animals prior to the start of service.
Pets must be contained or placed in a separate, secure area during the cleaning appointment if they are anxious around vacuums or other cleaning equipment.
Sage & Star Cleaning Co. is not responsible for pets that escape due to unsecured doors, gates, or enclosures. We are also not liable for injuries to pets that interfere with active cleaning areas or equipment.
If a pet displays aggressive or unsafe behavior, we reserve the right to pause, modify, or discontinue service. A cancellation fee may apply.
We do not clean litter boxes, animal waste, or areas heavily soiled by animal waste unless pre-approved as an add-on service.
Independent Contractor Status
Sage & Star Cleaning Co. operates as an independent business entity and independent contractor.
Nothing in this agreement shall be construed to create a partnership, joint venture, employer-employee relationship, or agency relationship between the client and Sage & Star Cleaning Co., its owners, employees or representatives.
We retain sole control over the methods, materials, scheduling, staffing and performance of our services. Clients may request specific service preferences; however, we reserve the right to determine how services are performed in accordance with industry standards and professional cleaning practices.
Severe Weather Events
Sage & Star Cleaning Co. is not liable for delays, cancellations, or service interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to sever weather, natural disasters, power outages, road closures, government orders, or other unforeseen events.
In the event of hazardous weather or unsafe travel conditions, we reserve the right to reschedule appointments to ensure the safety of our team and clients.
Clients will be notified as soon as reasonably possible, and every effort will be made to reschedule service promptly.
Cancellation fees will not apply if service is postponed due to severe weather events. We prioritize safety and reserve sole discretion in determining when conditions are unsafe for travel or service.
Non-Solicitation of Employees
Clients agree not to solicit, hire, or engage any employee or representative of Sage & Star Cleaning Co. for independent cleaning services during active service and for a period of 12 months following termination of service.
If a client hires a Sage & Star Cleaning Co. team member directly during this period, a $2,000 referral fee will apply.
Satisfaction Guarantee
Your satisfaction matters.
If you are not satisfied with your service, please notify us within 24 hours of completion.
We will return to address any missed areas included in the original scope of work at no additional charge. Refunds are not issued.
This guarantee applies only to the originally agreed-upon service scope.
Limitation of Liability
Sage & Star Cleaning Co. is fully insured; however, by booking service, the client acknowledges and agrees to the following:
While every effort is made to provide careful, high-quality service, Sage & Star Cleaning Co. is not responsible for:
· Pre-existing damage, loose items, or improperly secured fixtures
· Normal wear and tear, deterioration, or aging surfaces
· Damage resulting from faulty installation, improper mounting, or structural instability
· Items not disclosed as fragile, valuable, or irreplaceable
Clients are responsible for securing fragile, sentimental, or high-value items prior to service.
In the event of damage directly caused by Sage & Star Cleaning Co., claims must be reported within 24 hours of service completion. Liability shall be limited to the cost of the cleaning service provided and will not exceed the total amount paid for the appointment.
Sage & Star Cleaning Co. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Photo & Documentation Policy
Sage & Star Cleaning Co. may take before and after photographs for quality control, documentation, and training purposes.
Photos are focused on areas of service and surfaces only. Personal items, identifying information, and sensitive materials are not intentionally captured.
Images are stored securely and may be used for internal documentation or in the event of a damage or service dispute.
Marketing use of photographs will only occur with client consent. Any shared images will not include identifying details of the home or occupant.
Privacy Policy
Sage & Star Cleaning Co. respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information
Information we collect
We may collect the following information when you request or book services:

· Email address
· Service address
· Payment information (Processed securely through third- party payment providers)
· Service notes and preferences
How we use your information
Your information is used solely for:
· Scheduling and providing services
· Processing payments
· Client communication
· Internal record keeping
· Service documentation and quality control
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Payment Security
Payment information is processed through secure third-party platforms. Sage & Star Cleaning Co. does not store full credit card numbers on internal systems.
Data Protection
Client information is stored securely and accessed only as necessary to provide services. We take reasonable administrative and technical precautions to protect your data.
Photo documentation
Before and after photos may be taken for documentation purposes in accordance with our Photo & Documentation Policy.
Your Rights
Clients may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information by contacting us directly.
Updates
This policy may be updated periodically. The most current version will always be available upon request or on our website.
Agreement
By booking with Sage & Star Cleaning Co., you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
